The first week of January is almost over and we are S-L-O-W-L-Y getting back to our routine.
Linden went back to school yesterday and had a really good day. She had two “wishes” for the new year at school and both of them happened. (We keep talking about the difference between wishing for something and praying for it, but those darned Care Bears and their wish movie are sabotaging me!) Her first wish was to be moved to the Blue Team so she could be with her friends H and F. Her second wish was that M and T would be moved off that team. Both happened, so she was a very happy girl! She also had her first cheerleading practice last night and she had a fun time at that. Plus, she got her uniform (including a hair bow and pom poms) so needless to say it was hard to get her to sleep last night.
Timothy started basketball practice this week – he is playing Upward Basketball at church and will play through the end of February. He will be traveling to Alexandria, Louisiana this weekend for a youth activity through church called Pre-Teen Invasion. It is a special, one day retreat for 4th – 6th graders. Of course, that means we have to wake up at 5 am on a Saturday, but he is really looking forward to it.
Both Timothy and Rebecca started back to school yesterday – and of course, they were REALLY EXCITED about that! Youth group also resumed at church Wednesday night (our church did not have services the two Wednesdays around Christmas) and she will begin singing with the Praise Band again this week.
Tim went back to school this week and is preparing for Mid-Terms next week. As for me, I got to switch back from working 40+ hours a week to around 15 hours. We are both doing a pretty good job at keeping up with our resolutions (1 week down, 51 to go – YES!).
