Thanksgiving This And That

Wow…it’s been over two months since I posted last.  Things have been busy here, to say the least.  Thought I would take a few moments to share a little about our Thanksgiving.

For the first time in almost 10 years, it was just our immediate family for Thanksgiving dinner.  We decided to splurge and order a meal from one of the local Shreveport restaurants.  We had Cajun fried turkey, cornbread stuffing, rolls, gravy, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.  It was not quite as good as homemade, but it was really good.  Before we ate, we went around the table and everyone had a chance to say a few things for which they are thankful.

A sampling of our family thankful list:

  1. Family
  2. Friends
  3. Our new church
  4. The pending sale of our Michigan house
  5. Tim’s teaching job
  6. God’s provision

A few pictures from our meal:

The biggest laugh at our Thanksgiving dinner this year was courtesy of Linden and myself.

  • Linden: “The chicken is too spicy!”
  • Mama:  “Then eat the turkey instead.”

I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving!
